Levels run from 1 to 130. Each level gained awards three attribute points. Your attributes and equipment determine your health and combat stats.
Growth is automatic through level 120. Points earned above level 120 stay available for you to assign in the character window. From level 120, you can also reset your allocated attributes for two DragonBalls, then choose a new distribution.
| Attribute | What it does |
|---|---|
| Strength | Physical attack and a small health contribution |
| Agility | Dodge and a small health contribution |
| Vitality | Maximum health and physical defence |
| Spirit | Maximum mana, magic attack and a small health contribution |
Martial skills use stamina; spells usually use mana, and bow attacks also need arrows. Stamina recovers by 5 per second while standing or moving, and 10 per second while sitting.
Trainable skills gain experience through use and have their own level caps. Skill levels can improve damage, healing, effects or range. Some weapon skills are learned from books, which may also require weapon proficiency.
Weapon proficiency trains separately for each weapon type, from level 1 to 20. Land physical hits to train it. Proficiency unlocks certain weapon skills; it does not add a direct damage bonus. Switching weapons preserves your progress with each type.
Some skills are ultimates and are not paid for with a pool at all. They fill a charge meter that rises on its own over about four minutes and faster as you kill, and once full you have a short window to spend it.
