How Genesis handles information when you use the Genesis website, launcher, and game.

Last updated: September 2, 2026

Who operates Genesis

Genesis operates the website, launcher, game servers, and related support covered by this policy.

[email protected]

Information we handle

  • Account information, including your username, email address, password hash, account role, verification status, and password-reset records.
  • Game information, including your character, class, level, progression, inventory, equipment, currency, guild and social relationships, trades, sanctions, and other records needed to run the game.
  • Technical and security information, including IP address, request details, error logs, and signals used to detect abuse or automated traffic.
  • Messages or information you send when you contact support or report a problem.

How we use information

  • Create and secure accounts, confirm email addresses, and reset passwords.
  • Run the game, save progress, deliver patches, and show account and ranking information.
  • Detect cheating, abuse, fraud, and attacks, and enforce the terms of service.
  • Answer support requests and send account or service messages.
  • Diagnose failures and improve the website, launcher, and game.

Cookies and browser storage

Genesis uses essential HTTP-only cookies to keep you signed in on the website and to provide the game login token after your email is verified. The website also stores a short-lived query cache in local storage so public and account pages do not refetch unchanged data on every visit. Authentication tokens are not stored in local storage.

Cloudflare Turnstile, YouTube, and Discord

Account registration, sign-in, email verification support, and password recovery use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated traffic. Cloudflare processes browser, device, network, and challenge information for that security check.

The home page does not contact YouTube until you choose to play the gameplay teaser. Playing it loads YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedded player. Google and YouTube then process the connection under their own privacy terms.

The website and game do not contact Discord until you choose the Join Discord link. Discord then processes the connection and any activity on its service under its own privacy terms.

When information is shared

Genesis does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with hosting, database, email, security, and video providers when they need it to provide their service. It may also be disclosed when required by law, to investigate abuse, or to protect players and the service.

Retention and your choices

Account and game records are kept while they are needed to operate Genesis, protect the service, resolve disputes, and maintain required backups. Verification and reset tokens expire or are cleared after use. Security logs and backups may remain for a limited period after the live record changes.

You can change your password and, where available, your email address through the account page. Contact Genesis to ask about access, correction, or deletion of your information. Some records may be retained when needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.

Security and changes

Genesis uses access controls, password hashing, signed tokens, and encrypted connections where available. No service can promise absolute security.

This policy may change when Genesis changes how it works. The date at the top of this page will be updated when that happens.
